Rest Day in the Jura

Monday was a rest day for us as we settle in at Gaëlle's house and enjoy getting to see and participate in how they live. Here is the back side of their house. They live in a very small town in the Jura region called Lavans-les-saint-Claude. There are several plastics companies here in this town so many of the workers are residents here. Her mother Laure works at one right down the street so she is able to come home and join us for lunch.

 They have these cool security shades on all their windows and doors thathelp block the sun and keep in the warmth since they have no air conditioning.

 We just can't get enough of the view and have meals on the back terrace as well as lounge in the chairs.

No big deal...just a small hike to the grocery store and boulangerie..

 We enjoy time together having wonderful meals and playing games with the family. Christophe and Allison are reigning champions of Foozball tonight.
