We started with a very warm morning in Chamonix and went to a 14th of July Celebration in the square. We love this picture of the church with French flags, mountain views, and at the top you can see the paragliders who jump off the mountain and float their way down. So beautiful!
Today was a military celebration to give honor to all those who honorably protect the mountain. Love all their uniforms!
Hope you like pictures of mountains because this blog is about to be bombarded.
We drove down to the town of Saint Gervais where we took a train up to the almost top of Mont Blanc. We had plenty of room and was hot as we started but that changed after every stop up the mountain.
The cows all wear bells so you can hear where they are at all times. Oh La Vache! (Holy Cow)
By the time we reached the top it was pouring rain and we decided to just head back down since we all left our rain jackets in the hotel.
But the weather cleared quickly so we got out at the first stop and decided to hike down the mountain for some spectacular views.
Here you can see the glaciers on Mont Blanc
Beautiful stop for some ice cream bars! The hotel behind has been used for an asthma retreat for some fresh clean air.
Such a beautiful place! We had a nice relaxing evening playing games, trying new foods, watching Pawn Stars in french, and then enjoyed a magnificent thunderstorm. We lost our Wifi for the evening so hence my blog is late again but enjoy as you can.
