It has been a relaxing couple of days of sleeping in until 9 or 10am and then spending the mornings relaxing with a glorious view. Breakfasts consist of brioche and yogurt with jam or nutella. Then after relaxing we help prepare lunch for when Laure arrives home for her lunch break. This morning, Eric, Ally, and Gaëlle went on a walk to the patisserie for a treat later. Check out the video to see what they found...
The water is such a pretty teal blue but surpisingly is is very silty and you can not see in the water at all. But it was very refreshing and enjoyable to play in.
We got home just in time to help making dinner which was like grilled ham & cheese sandwiches with bechamel sauce and comte which is the local cheese made in the Jura. Also made here are the laughing cow cheese we can buy at home and one called morbier which is like a cross between monterey jack and blue cheese, it is probably our favorite. Cheese in France is regional and every region is very proud of their cheese. The family tells us they travel with their comte and morbier on vacation across France because it can get very expensive once you leave the region.
Tonight we enjoy my favorite macarons from the local patisserie. So delish!
We head to be early to get rested up for a road trip with the kids tomorrow.
